 ECHN Surgeon Introduces new herniated disc treatment. MANCHESTER, CONNECTICUT - An orthopedic surgeon on the medical staff of Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) has introduced to the region a procedure to treat back pain caused by a herniated disc. Jesse Eisler, MD, who has offices on Hartford Turnpike in Vernon, is among the first orthopedic surgeons in Connecticut to perform the Yeung endoscopic spinal surgery procedure for herniated discs of the back. The surgery is performed through a quarter-inch incision in a person's side and doesn't require general anesthesia or an overnight hospital stay.
