 Legislative Alert from CBIA.Workers' comp discretionary benefits bill now in Appropriations The Appropriations Committee is about to vote on SB-847, the workers’ comp discretionary benefits bill. We need your immediate help to defeat this harmful and costly bill. Among other things, it will increase employers’ workers' comp costs by up to 13.2%, which will result in as much as $152 million in additional costs the first year alone. If you have not already done so, please call legislative leaders, and your hometown's and your business's members of the Appropriations Committee, immediately to urge that they reject SB-847.
