 2007 brings new laws for Connecticut businesses.
When
the ball dropped on 2006, two new laws affecting Connecticut businesses
were enacted. As of Jan. 1, 2007, the 15 percent surcharge on the
state's 7.5 percent corporation business tax was eliminated. While
that's good news for business owners, the state's minimum wage was
ratcheted up as of Jan. I to $7.65 an hour, -up from $7.40 an hour.
