On April 10, members of the East Hartford Chamber of Commerce and the Tolland County Chamber of Commerce showed what they can offer to the consumers of our area, at the very successful Business Showcase event the two chambers organized at Maneeley's Restaurant, in South Windsor. 

 Connecticut lawmakers are considering many different bills that would significantly affect your business in Connecticut. On March 28 Senator Gary LeBeau, and Representatives Michael Christ and Christopher Stone, joined us for breakfast to talk about issues they're considering at the Capitol. 

 The 2006 Kiss-a-Pig contest was a great success. Not only voters for the winner contributed $5,000 that will be used to support a scholarship fund for EHHS students, everyone present during the award ceremony had a great time. Winner Craig Jordan  showed that he was ready for the task - he came with a Listerine bottle in his pocket. And Dan Larson showed his mettle, when he volunteered not once, but twice to kiss Daisy, the lovable porker.
